Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures following department protocols
• Process and transmit high-quality images to PACS promptly and accurately
• Serve as the first-line imaging contact for patients and clinical teams, delivering excellent customer service
• Participate in performance improvement and quality control activities to enhance patient care
• Ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations including HFAP, TJC, and CMS
• Maintain accurate patient and imaging documentation and follow safety protocols
• Collaborate with radiology staff to troubleshoot and optimize imaging workflows
• Complete required competency exams and specialty checklists as part of onboarding

Qualifications

• Current CRT issued by CDPH required
• ARRT-R certification required
• Current BCLS/BLS (AHA) required
• Graduate of a JRCERT or ABHES accredited radiography program
• Must obtain fluoroscopy permit (CDPH) within 6 months of hire
• Must obtain venipuncture certificate within 3 months of hire
• DCI/BVP certification preferred
• At least one year of radiology technologist experience preferred
• Proficient computer skills for PACS and image management systems

Education

• Graduate of a JRCERT or ABHES accredited radiography program

Knowledge & Skills

• Diagnostic radiographic procedures and patient positioning
• PACS systems and image processing and transmission
• Familiarity with State and Federal regulations (HFAP, TJC, CMS)
• Quality control and PI practices in radiology
• Safe use of radiographic equipment and radiation safety principles
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills
• Basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment and workflows
