Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate critical care to ICU patients, keeping safety and dignity first
• Manage continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) with precision and vigilance
• Perform advanced procedures including intubations and central/line placements when needed
• Monitor patients using Philips monitors and Alaris pumps, titrating therapies to patient needs
• Accurately document assessments and interventions in Meditech to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and execute individualized care plans
• Maintain patient ratios and workflow in a 32-bed MSICU with typical 1:2 assignments

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (eligible to work in Tennessee or compact state privileges)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (must-have according to the posting)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Hands-on experience with CRRT, intubations, and line placements
• Comfortable with Meditech documentation and unit equipment (Philips monitors, Alaris pumps)
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing and ICU workflows
• Continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) operation and troubleshooting
• Airway management and intubation support
• Vascular access and line placement familiarity
• Electronic charting using Meditech
• Experience with Philips patient monitors and Alaris infusion pumps
• Ability to work in a 1:2 patient ratio environment and adapt to floating per unit needs
