Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality labor and delivery care in LDRP rooms, supporting patients throughout labor and birth
• Perform continuous fetal monitoring and interpret strips accurately to support safe delivery outcomes
• Administer and titrate drips such as Pitocin safely and per protocol
• Lead neonatal resuscitation efforts (NRP) when required and support newborn stabilization
• Circulate in the OR for C-sections, collaborating seamlessly with surgical techs and anesthesia teams
• Deliver couplet care and smooth transitions from delivery to postpartum recovery
• Document thoroughly and efficiently using EPIC to ensure continuity of care
• Participate in call/standby rotations, float to other units per policy, and support team staffing needs

Qualifications

• Active RN license (able to submit license) — Kansas preferred for local hire or ability to work within the 60-mile radius requirement
• Current ACLS, NRP and BLS certifications required
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (experience in LDRP/Labor & Delivery preferred)
• Comfort and competence circulating in the OR and providing couplet care
• Ability to work nights, participate in call rotations and float between related units

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) accepted
• BSN not required for this role

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in labor and delivery nursing, postpartum and mother/baby care
• Proficient with fetal monitoring systems (GE EFM and OBIX experience a plus)
• Strong neonatal resuscitation (NRP) and emergency response skills
• Experience with EPIC charting system
• Competent in Pitocin titration and management of common OB drips
• Effective communicator, teamwork-oriented, and adaptable when floating or covering multiple areas
