Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, patient-centered nursing care during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization and EP procedures
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation according to protocols and patient needs
• Recognize and interpret dysrhythmias and initiate appropriate interventions
• Operate and maintain cath lab equipment and ensure sterile technique for procedures
• Accurately document care and procedural details in Epic to support continuity and quality
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate efficient patient flow
• Provide patient and family education before, during, and after procedures to promote understanding and recovery
• Adhere to facility infection control and vaccination policies to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license (required)
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Minimum 1 year Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology experience
• Minimum 3-5 years combined experience in PACU, ICU, CCU, and/or Cath Lab
• Minimum 5 years clinic nursing experience
• Experience with Epic electronic charting (required)
• Travel experience is required for this role
• COVID-19 vaccine plus booster required per facility guidelines (medical/religious exemptions only)

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac catheterization: diagnostic and interventional techniques
• Electrophysiology (EP) procedures and related equipment
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Pulmonary artery line / Swan-Ganz monitoring
• Left and right heart catheterization familiarity
• Experience in PACU, ICU, CCU work settings
• Proficiency with Epic charting and documentation
