Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality urgent care and occupational health services, including episodic care and injury treatment
• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients across the lifespan from adolescents to geriatrics
• Document patient encounters and treatment plans accurately in Anthem EMR
• Collaborate with the supervising physician via phone as needed to ensure safe, autonomous practice
• Perform worksite and occupational health evaluations and follow-up care
• Educate patients on diagnosis, treatment plans, and return-to-work expectations

Qualifications

• Licensed Physician Assistant (PA) in Virginia or eligible for Virginia licensure
• Experience working in urgent care and occupational health (locum experience a plus)
• Comfortable working autonomously with supervising physician available by phone
• Proficient with Anthem EMR or able to learn quickly
• Strong clinical skills in episodic care and injury treatment
• Current basic life support (BLS) certification recommended

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program; PA-C or equivalent clinical certification

• Urgent care triage and treatment
• Occupational health workflows and return-to-work processes
• Episodic care and injury assessment/treatment
• Anthem EMR familiarity
• Autonomous clinical decision-making with remote supervision
• Clear patient communication and documentation skills
