Shift Type: 4x10 Day shifts, 07:00 AM - 05:30 PM (4 shifts per week); Call rotation required with 30-minute response time (call shifts can average ~10 shifts within a 6-week period, includes one weekend); Weekend requirement: 4 shifts per contract

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including left and right heart catheterizations
• Monitor and manage patients with pulmonary artery (Swan-Ganz) catheters and advanced hemodynamic devices
• Support placement, management, and removal of intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP) and assist with Impella devices
• Recognize and manage dysrhythmias and acute cardiac events promptly and effectively
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation and vasoactive drips safely during procedures
• Document patient care thoroughly and accurately using Epic
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Transportation) to optimize patient outcomes
• Operate and troubleshoot specialized cath lab equipment (intravascular ultrasound, fractional flow reserve, hemodynamic monitors, atherectomy/rotational devices)

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license (California) — pending licenses are not accepted
• ACLS and BLS/BCLS required; NIH certification required
• Minimum: 2 years of cath lab experience preferred (complex cath lab—first-timers not accepted)
• Comfortable with on-call responsibilities and a 30-minute response expectation
• Familiarity with Epic for documentation
• RTO restrictions must be included at time of submission
• Travel experience not required, but experience in diagnostic cardiac cath lab settings is preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac cath lab procedures (LHC, RHC, coronary angiograms, PTCA)
• Swan-Ganz (pulmonary artery) monitoring and interpretation
• IABP and mechanical circulatory support familiarity (Impella)
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias including SVTs and ventricular rhythms
• Experience with intravascular ultrasound and fractional flow reserve measurements
• Medication management: vasopressors, thrombolytics, diuretics, and vasoactive drips
• Procedural sedation monitoring and airway/ventilator management knowledge
• Comfortable using advanced cath lab equipment and thrombectomy/atherectomy devices
