Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Days not specified, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Day shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to preserve dignity and comfort
Provide compassionate, hands-on care and companionship to support emotional well-being
Monitor and document vital signs and any changes in condition accurately and promptly
Communicate observations and concerns to licensed nursing staff to ensure continuity of care
Support safe meal service and assist with feeding when needed
Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
Adhere to infection control practices and facility protocols to protect residents and staff
Contribute to care plans and participate in team huddles to improve resident outcomes

Qualifications

GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) or equivalent required
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Clean background check and required health screenings/immunizations
Prior experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus
Compassionate, patient-centered approach with strong communication skills

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
GNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of elderly care needs and activities of daily living (ADLs)
Ability to take and record vital signs and basic observations accurately
Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
Good interpersonal skills and teamwork mindset
Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
