Location: Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Days: To be confirmed, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening/PM shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care and assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding)
Monitor and record patient conditions and report changes promptly to the nursing team
Support mobility and transfer tasks safely using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
Follow care plans and contribute meaningful observations during team handoffs
Build trusting relationships with residents and families through respectful communication
Adhere to infection control policies and facility procedures to protect everyone

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania (required)
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Demonstrated compassion, reliability, and ability to work as part of a care team
Comfortable with routine documentation and following care plans
Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus

Education

Completion of an accredited CNA training program
High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Comfort with ADLs (activities of daily living) and basic patient care
Good communication and documentation skills
Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Basic vital sign measurement and observational skills
