Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' functional needs and provide individualized occupational therapy plans to improve independence
• Develop and implement goal-driven treatment plans using evidence-based interventions
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other therapists to coordinate comprehensive patient care
• Document patient progress and outcomes clearly and timely in the medical record
• Educate patients and families on strategies, adaptive equipment, and home programs to support long-term success
• Advocate for patient safety and best practices while adhering to facility policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy license valid in the state of Nebraska
• BLS (American Heart Association) for Healthcare Providers required upon hire
• Active clinical competency in occupational therapy evaluations and interventions
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Comfortable working in an acute care/regional hospital setting and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assessment techniques, functional evaluations, and ADL training
• Familiarity with documentation standards and electronic medical records
• Strong clinical reasoning and goal-setting abilities
• Excellent communication and patient/family education skills
• Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches for diverse patient populations
