Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered Med/Surg nursing care during night shifts
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
• Administer medications, IV therapies and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care plans
• Document care and patient status clearly and timely in the medical record
• Respond promptly to emergencies and escalate concerns when needed
• Support and mentor fellow staff to maintain a positive, teamwork-focused environment

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license to practice in the State of Colorado
• BLS required upon hire
• ACLS and PALS required upon hire or to be obtained within 6 months
• Two years of relevant Med/Surg experience preferred
• Specialty certification for applicable areas preferred

Education

• Current RN license in the State of Colorado (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Med/Surg nursing expertise and comfort managing typical med/surg patient populations
• Experience working 12-hour night shifts and the routines of NOC care
• Strong patient assessment, prioritization and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy
• Accurate documentation and familiarity with electronic health records
• Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical setting
