Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality episodic and injury care across the lifespan, from adolescents to geriatrics
• Evaluate, diagnose and treat urgent care and occupational health conditions autonomously
• Document clinical encounters accurately and efficiently in Anthem EMR
• Coordinate care and consult with the supervising physician by phone as needed
• Perform procedures and onsite treatments related to workplace injuries and urgent presentations
• Educate patients and employers on treatment plans, return-to-work guidance and follow-up care

Qualifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner credentials (NP) with authorization to practice in Virginia or eligibility to obtain state licensure
• Experience in urgent care and occupational health (locum experience a plus)
• Comfortable practicing autonomously with telephone-based supervisory oversight
• Proficiency with Anthem EMR or similar clinical documentation systems
• Ability to deliver episodic care and injury treatment across adolescent, adult and geriatric populations
• Current BLS (and other certifications as required by facility) preferred

Education

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) as an NP graduate program completion

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and urgent care triage skills
• Experience with occupational health workflows and return-to-work processes
• Familiarity with Anthem EMR documentation and charting best practices
• Skilled in managing workplace injuries and episodic care procedures
• Clear communication skills for patient education and phone-based physician collaboration
• Ability to work independently while following facility protocols
