Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility to promote independence and prevent falls
• Take and record vital signs accurately, reporting any concerning changes to the care team
• Observe and document resident behavior and condition changes to ensure timely care
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver personalized care plans
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents and their families
• Support mealtime assistance and nutritional needs while encouraging dignity and choice

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
• Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable assisting with transfers, ADLs, and basic patient care
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Reliable attendance and the desire to make a real difference in residents’ lives

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on resident care and personal support skills
• Accurate vital signs measurement and documentation
• Basic infection control and safety practices
• Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal communication
• Time management and ability to prioritize during busy shifts
• Collaborative teamwork with nurses and therapy staff
