Shift Type: Days not specified, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM Night shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents with dignity and respect
Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
Monitor and record vital signs and changes in resident condition accurately
Help with safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to prevent injury
Document care in the resident record and communicate changes to the nursing team
Support a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
Engage residents with meaningful interaction to support emotional well-being

Qualifications

Valid GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) — required
Prior experience in long-term care or working with older adults preferred
Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
Up-to-date immunizations and TB test per facility policy
Ability to work night shifts (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Clear background check and drug screen as required by the facility
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
GNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of geriatric care principles and age-related conditions
Familiarity with ADLs, transfers, and mobility assistance
Basic charting and documentation skills, attention to detail
Infection prevention and safety practices
Compassionate communication and resident-centered care
Ability to prioritize tasks during a busy shift
