Shift Type: Thursday-Friday, 5:00 AM - 5:30 PM (CT); Saturday-Sunday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM (X-Ray); 4x10s schedule (Thursday-Sunday), rotating day/evening coverage, no call required. Note: role may require independent coverage during late-night/graveyard periods (approximately 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM) as needed.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT exams with and without contrast (head, spine, abdomen, pelvis, CTA PE, runoff, extremities) to support excellent patient care
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment including Toshiba 64-slice CT and Carestream/GE X-ray systems
• Provide general radiography including chest, trauma and portable imaging, and assist with PICC/tube placement imaging
• Start IVs when needed and ensure safe contrast administration processes are followed
• Accurately document procedures in EPIC and manage images in McKesson PACS for timely radiologist review
• Work independently and make confident decisions during low-staffed or late-night shifts to keep the department running smoothly
• Communicate clearly with ED staff, radiologists (including teleradiology), and the care team to ensure coordinated patient care

Qualifications

• Washington state radiologic technologist license (required)
• ARRT (CT) certification required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of CT/X-ray experience preferred
• Comfortable performing IV starts and working independently during overnight/low-staffed periods
• Experience with EPIC and McKesson PACS is highly desirable

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with CT imaging protocols and CTA techniques
• Familiarity with Toshiba 64-slice CT scanners and Carestream/GE X-ray equipment
• Skilled in trauma imaging and extremity/portable radiography
• Strong PACS (McKesson) and EMR (EPIC) navigation skills
• Competence in IV insertion, contrast administration, and radiation safety
• Ability to prioritize cases and manage workflow during variable volumes (2-6 CTs/night, 1-4 X-rays/night typical for graveyard)
