Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality urgent care evaluation and treatment for patients of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric
• Deliver occupational health services including workplace injury assessment and episodic care
• Perform procedures and injury treatment as indicated in an urgent care setting
• Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently using Anthem EMR
• Practice autonomously while collaborating with and consulting the supervising physician by phone
• Communicate clearly with patients and employers about care plans, return-to-work guidance, and follow-up

Qualifications

• Active Physician Assistant credentials (PA-C) with eligibility to practice in Virginia
• Experience working in Urgent Care and Occupational Health settings (explicit requirement)
• Comfortable practicing autonomously with remote/supervising physician oversight
• Familiarity with Anthem EMR (explicitly noted)
• Comfort caring for a full age range: adolescent, child, adult, and geriatric populations

Knowledge & Skills

• Urgent Care clinical assessment and procedural skills
• Occupational health workflows and injury treatment
• Episodic care management and return-to-work guidance
• Proficiency with Anthem EMR for documentation
• Strong clinical decision-making and independent practice skills
• Clear communication with patients, employers, and supervising clinicians
