Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor central telemetry and continuously observe up to 48 modalities to keep patients safe
• Interpret EKGs and manually measure rhythm strips with accuracy and confidence
• Manage and troubleshoot GE monitoring equipment to maintain continuous surveillance
• Perform continuous O2 monitoring and respond promptly to alarms and changes in status
• Document observations and interventions clearly in EPIC to support the care team
• Collaborate with charge nurses and unit staff to prioritize patient monitoring and escalate concerns
• Participate in unit orientation and ongoing training to stay sharp and compliant

Qualifications

• National Telemetry Technician (NTA) certification required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Minimum 2 years telemetry / tele tech experience
• Proven ability to interpret EKGs and manually measure rhythm strips
• Comfortable working with GE monitors and EPIC charting system
• Valid driver’s license must be submitted; able to be in-state for orientation week
• Willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts and every 3rd weekend

Education

• BSN not required
• High school diploma or equivalent typically expected; clinical certification (NTA) required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong EKG interpretation and rhythm recognition skills
• Experience with continuous O2 monitoring and central telemetry operations
• Familiarity with GE monitor platforms
• Proficient documentation skills in EPIC
• Excellent communication and teamwork in high-acuity settings
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple monitored patients
