Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients, managing complex and rapidly changing conditions
• Perform and manage specialized ICU procedures such as central line and arterial line care and intubation, following unit protocols
• Support post-procedure care for patients with EVD and collaborate with core staff for advanced neurosurgical patients
• Document all patient care accurately and efficiently in the Meditech EMR system
• Work closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient-centered care plans
• Maintain safe patient ratios (~2:1) and advocate for patient safety, comfort, and dignity at every shift

Qualifications

• Active RN (Registered Nurse) credential required
• Minimum 1 year of ICU/critical care experience (required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• Comfortable with oncology and neuro patient populations — preferred experience
• Proven ability to work rotating nights and cover weekends as required

Education

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing and ICU workflows
• Meditech electronic medical record navigation and documentation
• Central line, arterial line (A-line) care and monitoring
• Airway management and intubation familiarity
• Care of patients with EVD (external ventricular drain) needs
• Oncology and neuro critical-care principles (preferred)
• Strong clinical judgment, prioritization, and teamwork
• Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams and families
