Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents in the Cottage of the Shoals
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per facility policy
• Perform thorough assessments and promptly report any clinical changes to the care team
• Collaborate with nurses, CNAs and other disciplines to create and follow individualized care plans
• Support residents with activities of daily living and promote dignity and independence
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and follow infection control standards
• Participate in shift handoffs and communicate clear updates for continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Alabama required
• CPR/BLS certification required or obtained upon hire
• Previous experience in long term care, med-surg, or similar settings is preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on a rotating night schedule
• Ability to meet facility immunization and background check requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing / LPN program
• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Basic patient assessment and reporting of condition changes
• Familiarity with long term care workflows and regulatory requirements
• Skilled at teamwork, time management and prioritizing patient needs
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and basic clinical technology
