Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care nursing for ICU patients, managing complex conditions and interventions
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret telemetry to detect and respond to changes promptly
• Administer and titrate vasoactive drips safely while assessing hemodynamics
• Manage ventilators, BiPAP, tracheostomies, and advanced respiratory support including Airvo
• Perform and assist with critical procedures such as intubation, central line/chest tube care, and post-procedure monitoring
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech and ensure clear handoffs
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and recovery plans with compassion

Qualifications

• Current RN license (Texas or compact) required
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU / critical care nursing experience
• Demonstrated experience with cardiac monitoring, rhythm interpretation, and titratable drips
• Comfortable with ventilator management, BiPAP, trach care, and Airvo
• Experience charting in Meditech strongly preferred
• CRRT and SLED experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications recommended (ensure your certifications are current)

Education

• Active RN license required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of hemodynamics and critical care physiology
• Skilled in cardiac telemetry interpretation and bedside monitoring
• Proficiency with ventilator settings, weaning, and respiratory troubleshooting
• Experience with vasoactive medication titration and infusion pump management
• Familiarity with CRRT/SLED modalities and related equipment
• Solid Meditech documentation and electronic charting skills
• Excellent critical thinking, prioritization, and team communication
