Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality inpatient rehabilitation care focused on stroke recovery and functional gains
• Perform stroke evaluations and design individualized treatment plans including high intensity gait training
• Use manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education and functional electrical stimulation to maximize patient outcomes
• Safely operate and instruct patients with specialty equipment such as Sara lifts, ceiling lifts, LiteGait and Bioness
• Document care accurately and timely in Meditech Expanse to ensure continuity and quality of care
• Collaborate with OTs, SLPs and nursing to coordinate patient-centered discharge planning and progressive treatment goals
• Demonstrate exemplary patient experience skills including AIDET communication and immediate service recovery

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant physical therapy experience (experience in hospital or inpatient rehab preferred)
• Comfortable with stroke evaluation and treatment, including high intensity gait training
• Skilled in manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education and functional e-stim
• Experience with patient lifts and mobility equipment such as Sara/ceiling lifts, LiteGait, RT300 and Bioness is a plus
• Proficiency with Meditech Expanse or similar electronic documentation systems preferred
• Current state Physical Therapist license required; all required credentials and immunizations up to date

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's in Physical Therapy preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning for inpatient rehab and stroke populations
• Expertise in gait training techniques and mobility progression
• Safe patient handling and use of mechanical lifts and advanced rehab devices
• Effective interdisciplinary communication and patient/family education skills
• Familiarity with Meditech Expanse documentation workflows
• Ability to prioritize caseload and adapt to floating when needed
