Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in the operating room for a wide variety of surgical cases
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, techs and the perioperative team to ensure smooth surgical flow
• Perform thorough preoperative and postoperative assessments and provide patient-focused education
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech and maintain clear, up-to-date charts
• Respond effectively to trauma and vascular cases, applying ACLS/PALS protocols when required
• Maintain a sterile field and follow OR policies and guidelines to ensure patient and team safety
• Support unit needs during peak times and participate in continuous improvement of perioperative processes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (must meet state requirements)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience (per job posting), with OR/perioperative experience preferred
• Current ACLS and PALS certifications required
• Hands-on Operating Room/perioperative nursing experience
• Experience using Meditech or similar EMR for documentation and charting
• Strong teamwork, communication and a calm, easy-going approach under pressure

Knowledge & Skills

• Perioperative nursing practices and sterile technique
• Operating Room workflow, instrumentation and case coordination
• Meditech EMR proficiency for documentation and charting
• ACLS and PALS protocols and emergency response
• Trauma and vascular case familiarity
• Ability to prioritize, multitask and communicate effectively in fast-paced environments
