Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shifts, 12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend Friday/Saturday, 1 on call shift per 28-day schedule, float between east/west ED

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced Level 4 trauma ED treating 80-110 patients daily
Triage patients efficiently in a dedicated area, showcasing your assessment skills
Manage 1:4 ratios in general ED or 1:1-1:2 for critical cases with confidence
Administer conscious sedation and handle AMI management like a pro
Collaborate with techs, paramedics, and RT for seamless patient flow
Troubleshoot vents and monitors while reading your own strips accurately

Qualifications

Active RN license ready to submit
2+ years of ED experience
Demonstrated triage ability for this high-volume unit
Comfortable with critical thinking in chest pain, abdominal pain, trauma, and respiratory cases

Education

BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

Conscious sedation expertise
AMI management proficiency
Critical thinking under pressure
Patient ratios from 1:4 to 1:1 based on acuity
Tele strip reading and vent troubleshooting
