Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide thorough, compassionate med-surg and telemetry nursing care to assigned patients
• Continuously monitor cardiac telemetry and communicate changes to the care team
• Perform timely, accurate assessments and document findings in the medical record
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to facility policies
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary staff to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain infection control standards and ensure a safe environment for patients

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted LPN/LVN license (must be valid for the state of practice)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience (Med-Surg/Telemetry experience noted in the posting)
• Demonstrated experience with telemetry monitoring and med-surgical patient care
• Ability to pass facility onboarding and meet any required credentialing timelines
• CPR/BLS certification as required by the facility (obtainable if not currently held)

Education

• Vocational nursing diploma or equivalent (LPN/LVN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry interpretation and cardiac rhythm recognition skills
• Solid med-surgical nursing assessment and intervention abilities
• Comfortable with electronic health record documentation
• Good communication, teamwork, and prioritization under a busy caseload
• Knowledge of infection control practices and patient safety principles
