Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care for NVICU patients using a 2:1 patient ratio expectation
• Perform and manage critical care procedures such as intubation, central line and arterial line care
• Monitor and care for patients with EVDs and collaborate with core staff for specialty cases
• Utilize the Meditech EMR to document assessments, interventions and care plans accurately
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and changes in patient condition
• Float as needed across ICUs, BMT and PCU floors while maintaining standards of care

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) credential in good standing (state authorization as required)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience
• ACLS certification required
• Hands-on experience with critical care procedures: intubation, central line and arterial line care
• Experience with EVD care and neuro or oncology experience is a strong plus
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred
• Demonstrated teamwork, accountability and strong communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care assessment and intervention skills
• Ventilator management and advanced airway experience
• Central line and arterial line care, including troubleshooting and dressing changes
• EVD management basics and working collaboratively with specialized staff
• Proficient documentation in Meditech or similar EMR systems
• Ability to work effectively on night shifts and manage complex ICU caseloads
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment with a 2:1 patient ratio
