Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform skilled occupational therapy evaluations and create individualized treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to improve daily living, mobility, and independence
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and physicians to coordinate holistic patient care
• Document treatment progress and outcomes clearly and timely in the electronic record
• Educate patients and families on home strategies, adaptive equipment, and safety
• Participate in care conferences and contribute clinical expertise to discharge planning

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy license in North Carolina, or eligible to obtain licensure
• Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program (Master's or OTD preferred)
• NBCOT certification preferred
• BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Clinical experience in inpatient rehab or similar settings preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team

Education

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or Doctorate of Occupational Therapy preferred
• Graduation from an accredited OT program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in OT assessments, treatment planning, and intervention for ADLs and IADLs
• Experience with mobility training, adaptive equipment, and activity modification
• Proficient documentation practices and comfort with electronic medical records
• Ability to prioritize caseload, manage time effectively, and adapt in fast-paced settings
• Patient- and family-centered education and motivational coaching skills
