Roles & Responsibilities

• Dispense and verify medications accurately, ensuring the right drug, dose and route for each patient
• Review patient medication profiles for drug interactions, allergies and appropriate therapy
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and the care team to optimize medication therapy
• Prepare and compound sterile and non-sterile products per policy and safety standards
• Maintain accurate medication records and comply with regulatory and facility requirements
• Participate in medication safety initiatives and quality improvement efforts
• Provide clear, patient-centered medication counseling and education when appropriate

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist license (or eligibility) for Florida
• Minimum 1 year of recent pharmacy experience (as stated in the job details)
• Pharmacist licensure and ability to meet facility credentialing requirements
• Familiarity with sterile compounding and institutional pharmacy operations
• Strong communication skills and ability to work nights as required for the assignment
• Background checks and immunization/health requirements as required by facility

Education

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred or equivalent pharmacy degree
• State pharmacist licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical drug knowledge across inpatient formulary and acute care settings
• Medication safety best practices and error-prevention techniques
• Experience with dispensing workflows and automated dispensing systems
• Ability to read and interpret medication orders and clinical data
• Strong attention to detail, prioritization and time management under night-shift conditions
• Collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams
