Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care to patients across acuity levels using evidence-based practices
• Manage ventilators, airway devices, and respiratory equipment with attention to safety and protocol
• Perform assessments, interpret blood gases, and adjust therapy in collaboration with the care team
• Deliver patient and family education on respiratory conditions, treatments, and home-care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress clearly and promptly
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and contribute to a culture of safety

Qualifications

• Current state Respiratory Therapist license (required)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or CRT credential preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS and PALS preferred or available upon hire
• Experience in acute care or hospital setting preferred; confident with ventilator management
• Clean background and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy, Respiratory Care, or equivalent clinical training
• Completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program; registry-eligible or registry-certified

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in ventilator management and weaning protocols
• Strong assessment skills for respiratory status and ABG interpretation
• Comfortable with airway management and emergency respiratory procedures
• Excellent communication and teamwork to coordinate with nurses and physicians
• Detail-oriented documentation and adherence to clinical protocols
