Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive swallowing evaluations and manage dysphagia care to improve patient safety and quality of life
• Conduct MBSS with TIMS and FEES assessments when indicated to guide treatment plans
• Deliver stroke-focused evaluations and evidence-based treatment for post-stroke communication and swallowing needs
• Document thoroughly and efficiently in Meditech Expanse to support continuity of care
• Collaborate with OT, PT, nursing, and physicians as part of the interdisciplinary rehab team
• Use AIDET communication and immediate service recovery to ensure excellent patient and family experiences

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience (hospital and inpatient rehab experience preferred)
• Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in the practicing state or eligibility to obtain one
• Comfortable performing swallowing and language procedures, including MBSS with TIMS and FEES
• Experience with Meditech Expanse or willingness to learn documentation workflows
• Familiarity with dysphagia management tools such as VitalStim and AmpCare is a plus
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, including use of AIDET

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent graduate degree

Knowledge & Skills

• Swallowing evaluation and dysphagia management
• Stroke rehabilitation and stroke-focused evaluation/treatment
• MBSS with TIMS and FEES experience
• Experience using VitalStim and AmpCare devices
• Proficient documentation in Meditech Expanse
• Patient-centered communication practices including AIDET
