Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care to oncology/BMT ICU patients
• Manage ventilators and BiPAP to support respiratory function
• Titrate drips and manage infusion pumps safely and accurately
• Perform tracheostomy care, A-line management, and other invasive line care
• Deliver total care tasks including turning, dressing changes, and hygiene
• Operate and monitor CRRT when needed for renal support
• Document patient care and communicate changes using Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current RN (Registered Nurse) licensure (must be eligible to practice in Texas)
• ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU/critical care experience (strong ICU experience required)
• Hands-on experience with ventilator management and titrating drips
• Comfort with trach care, A-line management, IV pump management
• CRRT and transplant experience (kidney, pancreas, liver) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing fundamentals for the oncology/BMT ICU
• Ventilator and BiPAP management
• Titration of vasoactive drips and safe infusion pump operation
• Tracheostomy and A-line management
• CRRT operation and troubleshooting (preferred)
• Patient monitoring tools such as Flow-track
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR for documentation and charting
• Ability to function effectively in a 2:1 patient ratio and fast-paced ICU environment
