Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care as a Licensed Practical Nurse, focusing on safety and compassion
• Administer medications and treatments accurately, following facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans
• Monitor patient status, document clinical observations, and escalate changes promptly
• Support resident comfort and dignity through personalized nursing interventions
• Participate in shift handoffs and maintain clear, professional communication with staff and families

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in New Mexico (or compact/licensure allowing practice in NM)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Minimum clinical experience as an LPN; travel/LPN experience preferred
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
• Comfort with 12+ hour day shifts and the ability to work weekends as scheduled
• Professional attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-first mindset

Education

• LPN diploma or certificate program completed
• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in medication administration and basic wound care
• Familiarity with resident assessments, vitals monitoring, and documentation
• Strong time management and prioritization during busy shifts
• Ability to work collaboratively with RNs, CNAs, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams
• Knowledge of infection control practices and safety protocols
• Adaptability to new facility workflows and electronic health record systems
