Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language, and swallowing function to develop individualized care plans
• Deliver direct treatment to patients with communication and swallowing disorders
• Complete timely, accurate documentation including evaluations, plans of care, progress notes, and discharges
• Coordinate with insurance providers to clarify benefits and support patient access to services
• Prepare evidence-based evaluation and therapy sessions tailored to each patient
• Provide education and in-service training to nurses, physicians, dietitians, and support staff
• Create engaging in-service presentations and educational opportunities for clinical teams
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare providers to ensure patient-centered care
• Support patients and families through care navigation and clear communication
• Maintain a clean, safe treatment environment and follow facility policies

Qualifications

• Valid state license or eligibility to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Wisconsin
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent clinical certification
• Comfort evaluating and managing dysphagia and other swallowing disorders
• Strong documentation skills with experience preparing evaluations, plans of care, and discharge summaries
• Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Ability to create and deliver staff education and in-service presentations
• Reliable, professional, and committed to patient-centered care

Education

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
