Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform complete adult transthoracic echocardiograms with accuracy and care
• Conduct stress echocardiograms and support physician interpretation with clean studies
• Provide portable echocardiography at the bedside when patients cannot travel
• Build and deliver structured reports for physician review using the EMR
• Assist physicians during transesophageal echocardiograms when required
• Administer ultrasound contrast (e.g., Definity, agitated saline) where appropriate
• Maintain equipment familiarity (GE Vivid E9) and ensure quality imaging standards
• Communicate findings clearly and collaborate with the diagnostic team to optimize patient care

Qualifications

• ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) - required
• State of New Hampshire Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy License - required
• Minimum ~2 years of relevant echo experience preferred (experience listed in posting)
• Proven ability to perform transthoracic, stress, and portable echocardiograms
• Experience building structured reports and proficiency with Meditech or similar EMR
• Comfort assisting with TEE and administering ultrasound contrast is a plus
• Self-motivated, independent worker who thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong echocardiography technique for adult transthoracic and stress studies
• Familiarity with GE Vivid E9 ultrasound systems and routine maintenance
• Experience with Meditech EMR and structured reporting workflows
• Skill administering contrast agents such as Definity and agitated saline
• Ability to assist during transesophageal echocardiography procedures
