Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans to help patients reach their highest level of function
• Design and administer therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength, range of motion, and fine-motor coordination
• Train patients in ADLs and adaptive techniques, including use of adaptive equipment and prosthetic devices
• Conduct home assessments and recommend environmental or equipment modifications to support safe community living
• Deliver sensorimotor and visual perceptual-motor remediation and neurological integration therapies
• Document timely, accurate patient records and maintain compliance with departmental standards
• Educate patients and families on energy conservation, joint protection, safe transfers, and ongoing home programs
• Participate in prevocational programming and quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy required
• Current valid Washington State Occupational Therapist license required (or in process of obtaining)
• One year of OT experience preferred; new graduates welcome
• Ability to complete mandatory education and maintain regulatory requirements
• Professional communication skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to confidentiality and HIPAA compliance

Education

• Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient evaluations, treatment planning, and therapeutic exercises
• Experience with ADL training, adaptive equipment recommendations, and splinting concepts
• Home assessment experience and ability to recommend environmental modifications
• Knowledge of neurological/sensorimotor therapy and visual perceptual-motor remediation
• Strong documentation, reporting, and email/computer skills
• Clear verbal and written communication with patients, families, and staff
• Participation in quality improvement initiatives and adherence to professional standards
