Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular and pediatric OR patients, ensuring safety and comfort
• Support open heart and other cardiac surgeries with precision and calm under pressure
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, CSTs and service line leaders to deliver excellent outcomes
• Operate and monitor specialty equipment including Belmont rapid infusion systems
• Maintain meticulous documentation in Meditech EMR and communicate handoffs clearly
• Adapt across multiple service lines (orthopedics, ENT, urology, general, plastics and more) as needs arise
• Maintain 1:1 patient ratios when required and advocate for best patient care practices
• Contribute to a positive team culture through effective teamwork and professional leadership

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with OR experience (Title: RN) — must have
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience
• Cardiac / Open Heart surgery experience — required
• Ability to function in multiple service lines and adapt to changing OR needs
• Pediatrics experience preferred (unit includes Pediatric OR)
• Experience with CVOR/Cardiac procedures preferred
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR and Belmont rapid infusion devices preferred
• CST or anesthesia experience is a plus

• RN (Registered Nurse) — per job title

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong perioperative nursing knowledge for cardiovascular and pediatric cases
• Proficiency with Meditech electronic medical records
• Comfortable using and monitoring Belmont rapid infusion and other OR equipment
• Ability to prioritize, triage and maintain patient safety in a fast-paced OR environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams
• Flexibility to support multiple service lines and varying case types
