Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer medications and follow established care plans with accuracy and compassion
• Perform routine assessments and monitor residents’ vital signs, reporting changes promptly
• Document resident care and progress clearly and professionally in the chart
• Collaborate with RNs, therapists and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Assist with activities of daily living and promote resident dignity and independence
• Support infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
• Communicate effectively with residents’ families to keep them informed and involved

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification (Travel LPN classification noted)
• Eligible to practice in New Mexico (appropriate state license or authorization)
• Comfortable working 12.5-hour day shifts and adaptable to travel assignments
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Professional attitude, reliable attendance, and commitment to resident-centered care

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program (diploma or certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on knowledge of medication administration and basic nursing procedures
• Ability to perform resident assessments and recognize changes in condition
• Skilled at documentation and electronic charting best practices
• Familiarity with long-term care workflows and infection control standards
• Good time management and prioritization during busy shift periods
