Roles & Responsibilities

• Verify and dispense medications accurately using Meditech EMR, Pyxis, DoseEdge and Pak Edge
• Provide clinical dosing for vancomycin, aminoglycosides and anticoagulants to optimize patient outcomes
• Supervise pharmacy technicians in sterile IV compounding and Pyxis management
• Perform medication verification, first dose checks and manage emergency medication boxes
• Collaborate with nursing and multidisciplinary teams on pain consults and medication-related issues
• Maintain sterile compounding standards, documentation and quality assurance practices
• Support hospital-wide inpatient pharmacy coverage across shifts as part of a cohesive team

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School (required)
• Licensed to practice Pharmacy in Missouri (MO) — active license required
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience (as stated)
• Experience with sterile IV compounding and supervising pharmacy technicians
• Familiarity with DoseEdge, Pyxis and Pak Edge systems and Meditech EMR
• ACLS and BLS preferred
• NICU experience is a plus and will be considered favorably

Education

• Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication dosing and monitoring (vancomycin, aminoglycosides, anticoagulants)
• Sterile compounding techniques and verification workflows
• Pyxis, DoseEdge and Pak Edge operation and troubleshooting
• Meditech EMR navigation and medication verification processes
• Strong clinical judgement, attention to detail and teamwork
• Ability to supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians
