Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care to residents as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to orders
• Perform routine assessments, monitor vital signs, and report changes promptly
• Document care clearly and timely in the resident record
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to create meaningful care plans
• Support patients and families with clear communication, education, and emotional support
• Maintain infection control standards and safe clinical practices at all times

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing (must meet New Mexico practice requirements)
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or required per facility policy
• Ability to work overnight 12-plus hour shifts on scheduled days (Mon, Tue, Fri)
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and a team-first attitude

Education

• Diploma or certificate in Practical Nursing (LPN) or equivalent from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Basic patient assessment and wound care skills
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and timely charting
• Infection prevention and safety protocols
• Clear, empathetic communication with patients, families, and team members
• Time management and prioritization during busy overnight shifts
