Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care, continuously monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms
• Administer and manage IV medications and drips (including Lasix and heparin) safely and accurately
• Perform head-to-toe assessments and deliver comprehensive postoperative and med/surg care
• Manage and care for complex lines and devices: PICCs, midlines, hemodialysis catheters and central lines
• Deliver skilled wound care, drain management and VAC therapy to promote healing
• Assist with NG/G-tube care and parenteral nutrition for patients requiring enteral or parenteral support
• Maintain accurate documentation in Altera/Allscripts Sunrise and communicate changes to the care team
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support initiatives that improve patient experience and outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN license (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience (telemetry/med-surg preferred)
• Proven experience with telemetry monitoring and IV medication administration (including drips and IVP)
• Comfort managing central lines, PICCs, dialysis catheters, ostomies and complex wound care
• Familiarity with Altera/Allscripts Sunrise or similar electronic documentation systems
• Ability to float to like MST units and work collaboratively in a dynamic team

Education

• Active RN license (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred (if applicable)

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and rhythm recognition
• Med/Surg assessment and postoperative care
• IV medication administration and drip management (Lasix, heparin, insulin, diltiazem, metoprolol IVP)
• Wound care, drain management and VAC therapy
• NG/G-tube and parenteral nutrition care
• Central line care including PICC and hemodialysis catheter maintenance
• Foley, nephrostomy and suprapubic catheter care, plus ostomy management
• Proficiency with Altera/Allscripts Sunrise documentation and common bedside devices (Hoyer lift, bladder scanner, vein finder)
