Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate patients under orders from the referring physician and determine functional needs
Develop and implement individualized treatment programs using therapeutic procedures and assistive devices
Maximize patients' functional potential across daily living activities through goal-directed interventions
Document treatment plans and patient progress in accordance with facility policies and the State Practice Act
Collaborate with the Manager of Rehabilitation Services and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy (required)
Current California Occupational Therapist License (required)
Able to follow physician orders and practice in accordance with the State Practice Act
Professional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a rehab team

Education

Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

Occupational Therapy principles and best practices
Patient evaluation and treatment planning
Therapeutic procedures and use of assistive devices
Rehabilitation services workflow and documentation standards
Familiarity with California State Practice Act requirements
