Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to students and staff throughout the school day
• Perform health assessments, triage, and first aid for school-related incidents
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
• Document care and communication clearly in the school health record/EMR
• Coordinate with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers to support student health plans
• Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies and follow established protocols
• Float between Twin Lakes and Sunnycrest campuses as needed to maintain consistent coverage

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (Washington state or applicable compact licensure)
• BLS/CPR certification required; additional pediatric certifications a plus
• School nursing experience or experience in pediatric/primary care preferred
• Comfortable floating between multiple school sites (Twin Lakes and Sunnycrest)
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators and families
• Willingness to pass background checks and meet required immunizations

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Pediatric assessment and age-appropriate care
• Medication administration and allergy management
• Familiarity with school health plans, IHPs, and 504 accommodations
• Accurate clinical documentation and basic EMR navigation
• Infection control and universal precautions
• Excellent communication, organization, and crisis management skills
