Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality psychological assessment and treatment to individuals in a correctional mental health setting
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based approaches
• Deliver individual and group therapy consistent with best practices for mental health
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure continuity
• Perform thorough documentation, clinical reporting, and progress tracking in a timely manner
• Participate in on-call coverage as scheduled and respond to urgent clinical needs

Qualifications

• Active, valid California Psychologist license OR Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) credential
• Experience working in mental health settings; correctional or forensic experience a plus
• Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning and documentation skills
• Ability to work Monday-Thursday daytime schedule and cover one on-call week during the contract
• Professional demeanor, strong communication skills, and comfort working within institutional settings

Education

• Doctoral degree (PhD/PsyD) for Psychologist roles; Master's degree for LMFT roles
• Relevant graduate training in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and diagnostic formulation
• Evidence-based therapies (e.g., CBT, DBT principles applicable to correctional settings)
• Crisis intervention and risk assessment
• Collaborative care and multidisciplinary teamwork
• Accurate clinical documentation and progress reporting
