Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care to residents and patients on your unit
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Collaborate with RNs and interdisciplinary team members to develop and follow care plans
• Monitor patient status, identify changes, and escalate concerns promptly
• Perform skilled nursing procedures within LPN scope and facility protocols
• Maintain timely, clear charting and use electronic health records with attention to detail
• Support residents’ activities of daily living while promoting dignity and independence

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in the state of Maine (required)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Previous LPN experience in long-term care or similar setting preferred
• Comfort with medication administration, wound care basics, and routine nursing procedures
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Local candidate or ability to commute — this role is noted as Local Only

Education

• Completion of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program (diploma or certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nursing fundamentals and LPN scope of practice
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Patient assessment and vital sign monitoring
• Electronic health record (EHR) familiarity and accurate charting
• Time management and the ability to prioritize in a busy clinical setting
• Compassionate patient interaction and family communication
