Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and deliver high-impact clinical education programs that elevate nursing practice
• Coach and mentor staff nurses to build confidence, competence, and clinical excellence
• Assess learning needs, develop curricula, and evaluate competency outcomes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement best practices and improve patient outcomes
• Document educational activities, track progress, and report measurable improvements
• Lead change initiatives and support continuous quality improvement efforts across the unit

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine or compact RN licensure
• Experience as a Nurse Practice Educator or clinical educator; RNNPE classification preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Strong instructional, coaching, and presentation skills
• Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork abilities

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Adult learning principles and clinical teaching techniques
• Clinical assessment and patient care best practices
• Competency-based education and evaluation methods
• Policy and procedure development with attention to regulatory compliance
• Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health records
