Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in accordance with facility protocols
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Perform timely patient assessments and document findings clearly in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and follow-up care to promote recovery
• Recognize and escalate changes in patient condition to ensure prompt intervention
• Support unit quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive workplace culture

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (ability to practice in Rhode Island required)
• Current BLS certification; ACLS and other specialty certifications a plus
• Clinical experience in acute care or comparable setting preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on a collaborative team
• Ability to fulfill local schedule requirements (local-only assignment)

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid assessment skills and clinical judgment
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Accurate, timely documentation and familiarity with electronic health records
• Patient education and bedside teaching skills
• Basic infection prevention and safety practices
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical environment
