Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Day shift), 40 hours/week guaranteed
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical and case management services to patients and families to promote optimal individual and social functioning
- Conduct age-appropriate assessments, treatment planning, and discharge planning to ensure safe community reintegration
- Engage patients and families in care, offering education, support, and resources to improve outcomes
- Maintain clear, timely behavioral health documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered treatment and follow-up services
- Support transitions of care, including community referrals and linkage to outpatient services
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work (MSW) or Master’s in counseling/behavioral health — required
- LICSW, LMFT, or LCMHC — required, or willingness to register on Vermont’s Roster of Psychotherapists within 24 hours of accepting an offer
- True inpatient psychiatric experience in an inpatient psych hospital or psych unit within the last 6 months — required
- Comfortable and experienced working with children and adolescents in an acute inpatient setting
- BLS (AHA) certification — required
- Driver’s license or local address required in submission packet (candidates within 35 miles subject to local policy)
- 1–2+ years of inpatient social work experience highly preferred
- Two supervisory references from the last two years of employment — required
Education
- Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program or Master’s degree in counseling/other behavioral health discipline
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical/case management skills in behavioral health settings
- Expertise in discharge planning and community reintegration for youth
- Skilled in patient and family engagement and crisis intervention
- Proficient behavioral health documentation and EMR familiarity
- Ability to work within bargaining agreement guidelines and flexible scheduling
- Good communication, collaboration, and multidisciplinary coordination skills
- Familiarity with Vermont licensing/roster processes and documentation requirements
