Roles & Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate patient flow across the hospital, ensuring timely admissions, transfers, and discharges to optimize care and capacity.
Provide frontline supervision and decision-making for nursing staff during night shifts, stepping in to resolve staffing or clinical issues.
Assign nursing resources and organize workflow so teams know their duties and patients get excellent care.
Coach and give constructive feedback to staff to boost performance, engagement, and professional growth.
Collaborate with the Chief Nursing Officer and clinical leaders on administrative and clinical decisions impacting patient care.
Act as a key liaison with charge nurses and support staff to maintain high standards of safety, communication, and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Montana (required)
Minimum 3 years' RN experience in a hospital setting; recent ICU experience strongly preferred
CPR required; ACLS and PALS required or must be obtained within 6 months of employment
Demonstrated leadership experience (resource nurse, charge nurse collaboration, or similar)
Strong critical thinking, communication, and customer-service skills

Education

Degree from an accredited Nursing Program (ADN/BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

Patient flow management
Nurse leadership and clinical supervision
ICU care and post-operative patient management
Cardiac monitoring and ACLS/PALS familiarity
Ventilator support and management of invasive lines (A-lines, chest tubes)
Use of multiple IV pumps and advanced medical equipment
Care across the lifespan (infancy to geriatrics)
Project initiation, problem solving, and strong interpersonal skills
