Roles & Responsibilities

• Verify medications accurately to ensure patient safety and compliance
• Perform sterile compounding and supervise technicians in IV preparation
• Conduct vancomycin, aminoglycoside, and anticoagulant dosing and monitoring
• Lead medication reconciliation and medication verification processes
• Support pain consults and collaborate with clinical teams on therapeutic plans
• Oversee Pyxis, DoseEdge, and Pak Edge workflows and first-dose checks
• Document interventions and communicate with providers to optimize patient outcomes
• Assist with emergency med box checks and decentralized pharmacist duties

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School (required)
• Licensed to practice pharmacy in Missouri (MO Pharmacist License required)
• Minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience (as indicated in the posting)
• Experience with sterile compounding and medication verification
• Familiarity with DoseEdge, Pyxis, Pak Edge, and Meditech EMR
• ACLS and BLS preferred
• NICU experience is a plus

Education

• Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School

Knowledge & Skills

• Inpatient pharmacy operations and decentralized pharmacy workflows
• Sterile compounding best practices and supervision of pharmacy technicians
• Therapeutic dosing for vancomycin, aminoglycosides, and anticoagulants
• Medication safety, verification processes, and first-dose oversight
• Experience using DoseEdge, Pyxis, Pak Edge and Meditech EMR
• Strong communication and provider collaboration skills
