Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients quickly and accurately on admission and throughout their stay, prioritizing safety and timely care
• Administer IV medications, therapies and blood products with precision and attention to patient response
• Provide clear, compassionate patient education so patients and families understand treatment and next steps
• Document nursing care, observations and patient responses thoroughly and professionally
• Collaborate with the emergency care team to triage, stabilize and transfer critically ill patients as needed
• Apply critical care and emergency nursing skills in a fast-paced environment to impact outcomes immediately

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (must hold current, valid RN license)
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 1+ year previous RN experience required
• At least 1 year of prior critical care nursing experience required
• Must NOT be a previous employee of St. Mary's
• Travelers with license/background hits or actions will not be accepted

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and rapid clinical decision-making in emergency settings
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Blood administration experience and monitoring
• Strong nursing documentation and charting practices
• Critical care and emergency nursing fundamentals, including triage and stabilization
• Patient education and communication with diverse populations
