Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic CT and X-ray imaging while following established protocols
• Operate and maintain CT and X-ray equipment (CT: Cannon Lightning noted) safely and efficiently
• Ensure patient safety and comfort, including radiation safety and proper positioning
• Manage imaging documentation and image transfer to PACS accurately and promptly
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, clinicians, and nursing staff about imaging findings and urgent issues
• Participate in on-call rotation and weekend coverage, responding promptly to clinical needs

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted ARRT (CT) certification required
• Current, unrestricted Colorado CT certification (must be active in Colorado)
• BLS certification required
• Availability for primarily weekend day shifts and on-call coverage
• Experience in a rural or critical access hospital setting is highly desirable
• Professional demeanor, strong communication skills, and commitment to patient-centered care

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in CT protocols and X-ray imaging techniques
• Familiarity with Canon Lightning CT equipment (or similar CT platforms)
• Competence with PACS, basic image post-processing, and digital imaging workflows
• Strong understanding of radiation safety and contrast administration basics
• Ability to triage and prioritize imaging requests in a small hospital setting
• Patient positioning, infection control, and basic emergency response awareness
