Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate patients under physician orders to determine functional abilities and needs
Develop individualized treatment programs using therapeutic procedures and assistive devices
Provide direct occupational therapy treatment to maximize patients' functional potential
Train patients and caregivers in use of assistive devices and safe home/work strategies
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to coordinate care
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to meet goals
Document evaluations, treatment plans, and patient progress in accordance with facility policy and State Practice Act

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy (required)
Current California Occupational Therapist License (required)
Ability to evaluate and treat patients under orders from the referring physician
Practice in accordance with the California State Practice Act
Comfort working full-time daytime schedule and collaborating with rehabilitation team

Education

Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy

Development of evaluation and treatment programs
